May 26, 2008 - FAIR
OAKS, CA: Mount Vernon Memorial Park
will hold its 41st Annual Memorial Day Tribute on
Monday, May 26th at 11 a.m. This special tribute
will honor all veterans both past & present who have
given us the special privileges that we enjoy today.
This event is the largest in Sacramento, and includes
over 460 large American flags, military color & honor
guards, musical salutes by the USAF Band of the Golden
West, a flag folding ceremony, the missing soldier's
table, a giant flag parachute jump, and a jet flyover.
Our guest speaker will be Major General Wm. H. Wade II,
Adjutant General, California National Guard. The public
is invited to this free event. Mount Vernon Memorial
Park is located at 8201 Greenback Lane, in Fair Oaks,
one block east of Fair Oaks Blvd. For additional

CA: This Annual Memorial Day Tribute is being
held at Lawncrest Memorial Park, located at 1522
E. Cypress Ave. Redding, CA and will begin at 10 a.m. on
Monday, May 26th. This tribute will include: military
color, and honor guards, patriotic musical salutes, a
flag folding ceremony, a missing soldier's table, and a
precision drill team. The keynote speaker will be Lt.

being held at Redding Memorial Park at 12 p.m.,
and is located at 1201 Continental St.Redding, CA. on
Monday, May 26th. This celebration will include: a
military color guard and honor guard, patriotic musical
salutes, a precision drill team, and a jet flyover. The
keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Charles Schaupp USMC

May 26, 2008 - SIMI VALLEY, CA: On
Memorial Day the City of Simi Valley
will come together for the annual tribute to Welcome
our Veterans with a "SALUTE TO ARMS".
In realizing
the many Memorial Day events our Vets put on
throughout the day for our fallen brothers and
sisters, we felt a perfect opportunity to serve
them and take the opportunity to officially as a
City say "Thank You and Welcome Home".
Under the organization of the
Single Adults of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints, we have coordinated
all the local restaurants and businesses to
provide a special luncheon and program of
entertainment, along with the opportunity to
tie in all services available within the
community that support our Veterans and
currently serving troops. Many businesses
donate items to be given to our vets with
FREE tickets that are handed to them as they
enter the luncheon. Our Veterans and
their spouses are invited to attend this
Luncheon FREE of charge, as the Best of Simi
Valley Restaurants donates a feast for them
unlike ever done before. The event is held at the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
located at Sinaloa Building of the LDS
Church, 480 Sinaloa Rd., Simi Valley. For more
